Well my little haflinger mare and I got accepted back to the Equine Affaire in Pamona to do the Extreme Cowboy Race. I didn't make finals but I was against some pro cowboy racers. I got 17th out of 33 and 7 were pro trainers/cowboy racers and this is now only my 2nd compitition ever. I had a lot more fun, got the haflinger a little more known ,and accomplished my goal of a haflinger being 'out of the box' from what they are normally known for doing ie. dressage, jumping, and driving. Doing something 'EXTREME" with them is so much fun.
This is after my run, when Craig did his little interview with me about my run at the equine affaire extreme cowboy race 2009
This is me, Jennifer Rose, riding my haflinger mare Native Rosie in Craig Cameron's Extreme Cowboy Race at the Equine Affaire in Pomona 2009. We didn't make the finals but we made it in 12th place...only 10 points from being in the finals!! Not bad for our FIRST competition. I slowed down at the end because my buckle got stuck on the horn at the second barrel jump and then my shirt popped open!!! stupid wardrobe failure cost me the finals. lol. but it was SOO much fun. Look for us for next year. Hey if anyone who watched this and has pictures or videos...would you please email them to me?? I got no pictures...only video. my email is [email protected] Thanks!!!
